Yes. When UPK records an action it identifies both the Object and Action. Should you find the Object Name inaccurate you can change it’s properties in the Frame Properties below the bubble text editing window. Ex. Changing the object from Hyperlink to Drop Down Menu and change the object name to appropriate the call out.
Yes. UPK allows you to edit the screenshot directly using the Edit Screenshot Button.
Yes you can modify Bubble text to what ever you wish. There are multiple ways to do so. -You can change the template text by modifying the frame action details ie. Action type, Object Type, and Object name -You can click the ” Insert template text as user text” button to edit the Bubble text
Yes, to an extent. UPK allows developers to insert and assign bubble icons. There are several choices such as exclamation mark, light bulb, and a computer mouse.
UPK has the ability to export developer settings to an “.ops” file which can them be sent out for all developers to use.
Both have their merits so it would depend on the situational requirements. It my personal preference to use Know It! mode due to it not requiring a live environment and it’s ability to track end-use progress.
Unfortunately not. The oracle_gateway.html file has the default hard coded to the UPK topics. So, with the UPK 12.1.2, it is not possible to have Oracle Default Help as primary and UPK content as secondary.
To avoid this issue it is a good practice to use the following Layout hierarchy Module -Module –Section —Topic
I would recommend using UPK’s multi-user environment, It allows multiple users to work on the same module simultaneously where as in single user environment you’d have to do a lot of exporting and importing of odarc files. Even though it’s possible to do with out Multi-user you’ll spend most of your time copying/pasting and fixing
